My name is Chad Hodges and I am entering my third year as the music teacher and band director at Kinston School. I believe that music has the power to enrich lives and supports the physical, mental, and emotional health of our students. I also believe that, through music, students learn valuable life lessons such as communication, team work, time management, perseverance, and confidence. I served as the band director at Chiefland Middle High School in Chiefland, Florida for 8 years (2013-2020) and won Teacher of the Year for the 2018/2019 school year. I hold a BA in Music from the University of Central Florida and a Masters of Music Education from the University of Florida. I have a wife, Cindy, and two sons, Noah and Nolan, and we are excited to be a part of the Coffee County School System and the Kinston School family.
