Hello! Thanks for stopping by to read my Bio. My name is Crystal Hawthorne, and I'm originally from the small town of Deatsville, AL where I attended Holtville School K-12. I married my husband, Adam (KHS Alum 1997) in 2004, and we moved back to his hometown of Lowery, AL. We have one son, Tripp, and a Boston Terrier, Gator who make our household very unique and tons of FUN! My son is a sports fanatic, so any sport he plays we enjoy going to watch and cheer him on! We also enjoy traveling along to help my husband at competition bbqs, fishing, camping, spending time with our extended families and being active in our church.

I've been blessed to be employed with the Coffee County School System since August of 2008. My first five years with CCSS were spent at Kinston School as the Bookkeeper/Secretary. During that time, I was in the process of obtaining my degree in Elementary Education. In 2013, I had the opportunity to begin a new chapter in my career, and serve the children of Coffee County as a 1st grade teacher at New Brockton Elementary.  In 2016, I was obliged to accept a transfer back to Kinston and plan on being here until I retire. What a blessing it has been to impact so many lives and help shape the minds of our youth.

My goal as an educator is to ensure that each child achieves educational success and to create a life-long love of learning in my students. We are going to have a great year, and I simply can't wait to meet and get to know each and every one of you! May God bless you all & GO BULLDOGS!
